The Firm

Octave Hocher
Octave Hocher is a lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar, focusing its practice on business litigation and dispute resolution.
After studying at Sciences Po Paris and UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles), and training at leading French and international law firms, he spent eight years in the Litigation Department of Lacourte Raquin Tatar.
He advises both French and international clients—including companies of all sizes and private individuals—in civil and commercial disputes they face. Highly proficient in procedural law, he is also trained in alternative dispute resolution methods, which have become essential in today’s judicial landscape and are the subject of regular reforms. He therefore assists his clients throughout the challenges they encounter, from negotiating settlements to securing and enforcing court decisions, always guided by their best interets.
He is also an expert in “mesures d’instruction in futurum”, the French equivalent of Anglo-Saxon discovery procedure, which allows for the optimization of evidence-gathering in the client's favor. He is the author of an encyplopedia chapter on this subject published by LexisNexis, a leading legal publisher.
He regularly publishes scholarly articles on business litigation in leading legal journals (Revue Procédures, La Semaine Juridique, Dalloz Actualité…). He also works alongside judges and lawyers in the initial and continuing training of attorneys on the structuring of legal submissions, with the aim of maximizing the chances of persuading the courts.
Octave Hocher is fluent in French, English, and German.
